Sale of Marshalswick Estate in 1921, known for a short time as Sandridge Lodge, the 179 acres now being covered completely by hundreds of houses in roads such as Charmouth Road, Gurney Court Road, Homewood Road, Marshals Drive and The Park. Sketch by Philip Stride of water cart used in 1906 for taking water from pond near Hooks and Capps, Sandridge, the latter being two tenements between Nashes and Fairfolds. Pound Farm, one of the principal homes of the Thrale family in Sandridge.
