Hester purchased two estates:


The Tremeirchion Estate in Denbighshire, Wales, was a significant estate spanning approximately 1,000 acres, the estate included the village of Tremeirchion, farmlands, woodlands and a manor house. It first came into the ownership of the Salusbury family in the early 16th century when Sir John Salusbury (1520–1578) first acquired it.
